A must see is the sunset at Sagres Point, you won't regret it- fair warning, it is very windy.

We didn't make it here but it's on my list for next time!

When in Porto we went to Calem for a wine cellar tour and wine tasting. We got to experience traditional Portuguese music and listened to Fado. This music genre originated in Portugal around the 1820s. Fado is known for how expressive and inviting; it was a cool experience to watch them perform.

My favorite experience with wine in Portugal was when we visited Aveleda Winery in the Vinho Verde Region. The grounds are absolutely stunning and hold a vase amount of history, I encourage you to take a tour. The wine is delectable, and they even have Brandy there too. Aveleda has been around for 150 years and a family run winery.

Braga is the third largest city in Portugal and oh my does it ever have charm and history. The architecture alone, blew me away. Nestled in the north of Portugal, Braga is a city that beautifully intertwines rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture. Known as the "Rome of Portugal" for its numerous churches and religious importance, Braga offers a profound cultural experience alongside its breathtaking sights.

Must-See Sights:

1. Bom Jesus do Monte: This architectural marvel perched high on a hill is a must-visit. The sanctuary is famous for its stunning baroque staircase, which has 577 steps. As you ascend, the views of Braga and its surroundings unfold spectacularly. The church itself is a beautiful emblem of the city's commitment to faith and architecture.

2. Sé de Braga (Braga Cathedral): As one of the oldest cathedrals in Portugal, the Sé de Braga is a testament to the city’s rich history. Pena Palace is a vibrant yellow color and looked exquisite from the gate, we didn't do this tour but it is high on the tour lists.

We did an amazing hike from the town up the mountain side to the incredible Moorish Castle, I highly recommend if you love hiking.
